We had to design and install a way to suspend the services that were co existing with the original bridge, then attach the services back onto the new bridge.

Allawah Street Footbridge, Frankston

The Allawah pedestrian bridge is a historic part of the Frankston community. It was built ‘like for like’ in our factory.

The piles, bearers, stringers, posts, hand rails and deck were all made from iron bark.

The installation of the bridge was completed in association with Membrey’s crane and truck hire, as well as pile driving contractors.

The bridge consisted of 5 spans, all in which were slightly different in their various ways.
